Avery James Photography About Me

Crystal Henning lives in Torrance , CA. with her fiancé and 3-year-old son, Caydan. She is a mother to two beautiful boys and a step-daughter.

Her eldest son passed away at the age of 2 and half (in July 2006) due to a horrible accident. It is him that her company is named after (Avery James) and because of him that she developed a love for photography and for capturing memories that can never be regained again. As photos are the only way she can see Avery's angelic face, she has come to realize the importance of having tangible images of your loved ones and encourages others to also take advantage of having their photos taken at all stages in life.

Her living son continues to be her muse when it comes to both the art in photography as well as life in general. Her motivation and perseverance through all things comes from the love she has for her children and family.

Because she knows the importance of memories, Crystal is striving to maintain a business that creates quality images for families that are affordable for those who may not always have the monetary means to partake in this luxury. Private, longer sessions are always available at regular prices, but she will also offer options for 30-minute mini sessions at a lower price that everyone can afford. Crystal’s background includes a BA in Communications and a Minor in Studio Arts from the University of Pittsburgh . Focus was given to producing and directing film and the art of the human form (portraits and nudes). She also continues to develop her photography skills every day through ongoing classes, various styles of photography sessions, and research of her favorite photographers.
